The Garden of Destinies LARP Staff is a diverse group of people who loved storytelling and sought to create a safe gaming experience. We began GoDs in 2016, and were luckily supported by a small (but amazing!) group of Players who helped us playtest the rules. Today we are a small to medium sized game that meets 5-6 times a year in Tennessee and Georgia.
Our mission as a LARP is not only to collectively tell stories in a living world (the Garden), but to actively elevate and celebrate differences among the Players (and Staff).
GoDs Staff openly and ardently supports the idea of self-determination. We understand that each individual has their own experiences, values, and sense of self. Our goal is to make LARP an experience where one can explore identity, conflict, and danger in a safe environment. GoDs is a lightest-touch boffer game with a heavy focus on roleplay. We strive to provide plenty of exciting battles and interesting in-character moments. Often our stories feature LGBTQ characters, queer and poly relationships, and high levels of Player engagement and direction. We aim to be accessible for new larpers, wallflowers, younger people, people of color, underserved populations, individuals exploring their own identity, and for those who need an inclusive hobby.
